Unable to boot into arch after restarting my PC
I have this problem where when I first boot up my PC, it runs normally, but when I restart my machine and got after the boot menu, I get a black screen and nothing happens after that. The same thing also occurs when I boot up the arch installation media after restarting, as shutting down the PC and switch to the installation media after that works normally.
Things that I have tried include:
- Reinstalling Arch
- Updating my BIOS
- Switching to a new bootloader (grub to systemd-boot)
- Switching to a new kernel (linux to linux-zen)
And nothing have worked.
So I decided to do some testing and rollback my arch installation media to the version of November 2023. I started to boot up my PC and boot to my installation media, reboot, and boot back into it to many success, where the only instances of it resulting a black screen is when I boot up into my linux desktop then restarting my PC and swtich to the installation media, so I figured this could be a kernel issue.
This is my current PC specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800XT
