I need to use xmodem protocol. I installed lrzsz with pacman. I expected to have access to commands like sx (see https://man.archlinux.org/man/extra/lrz … z-sz.1.en) but don't seem to.
Instead I see that a directory /bin/lrzsz with commands lsx, etc has been created. But lsx on the command line also fails (command not found). Am I missing a step? Do I need to create links, or change my path settings?
Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forums!
Have a look here for packaging choices made and the reasoning:

Thanks for the link. So ... my understanding is that this is an intentional renaming of the programs, not reflected in the documentation, and I will just have to work around it. I guess I consider this solved.

I'd say it's unusual for such a decision to not be either communicated by a postinstall scriptlet, or worked around by a profile.d PATH update. It may be worth raising this on the linked bug report.
EDIT: looks like it may be resolved shortly (pkgrel 13): https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … ts/1/diffs
