Hi all! Today I updated my system as usual, and kde did not start. The problem turned out to be in the nvidia driver, which in theory should have been rebuilt for the new one, as it usually did. But this time something went wrong. Updating the driver to the latest version fixes this problem, but for me this is not a solution, since with the latest driver version (545) I have problems with FPS on the desktop. Any thoughts on this?

Are you using an old 535 package, or the one from the AUR? Partial updates aren't supported, so using the old package is a bad idea.

I use the nvidia-dkms package from pacman, which is compiled each time for a specific Linux kernel. Isn't this package universal for every Linux kernel (well, at least for relatively recent ones). It's just that on the latest nvidia 545 I have a problem with FPS being locked to 30 and at the moment I can't use this driver

Yes, but it's also old. Just pinning a package like this will almost always cause problems. Find an updated version in the AUR.
