[SOLVED] Gnome - Some maximised applications are now 'click through'

Super wierd issue, only happened after last update (I've been away and haven't updated for 2+ weeks)

These applications, when clicking on them, the click goes 'through' them and onto the window below:

Nemo (but only the right hand side of the window when it is maximised)
Xterm
Terminator
Cool Retro Term
LibreOffice Calc (When it is not maximised, I have this issue with only the part of the window hanging over onto the right half of the screen. I tested this also with Nemo and did *not* have this issue...)
Geany (right hand side of window)
Thunar (right hand side of window)
Audacity (right hand side of window)
Mplayer
VLC

These seem to work fine:

Steam
Firefox
Gnome Calculator
Megasync
Gnome Terminal
Gnome Files
VLC (yes, it works and doesn't work depending on.. ???)

When the buggy windows aren't maximised, Gnome gets stuck and I'm not able to click on other things and have to fenangle it to work by moving mouse to upper left to choose a working window. When I use the Super key, I'm not able to click on the icons.

When Gnome gets stuck I'm not able to resize windows if a buggy one was the last one I interacted with.

Anyone else having this issue?

Rolled back to the non-beta DKMS drivers and issue was fixed:

nvidia 545.29.06-18
nvidia-utils 545.29.06-3

from:

nvidia-beta-dkms 550.40.07-2
nvidia-utils-beta 550.40.07-1

Thank you so much for your post. I was having the same issue and it was driving me crazy. It also caused this weird bug with adw-gtk3

I seem to experience something very similar, but having no NVidia card but running on Iris Xe.. see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=294504
