IDE // SATA Problem

Hello , i have a dma on sata problem. On Arch install i took ide legacy and because that all drives (SATA) would be found as hd* . As result I cannot activate dma on these drives and a dvd drive with 3 MB/s is not able to run video/music discs properly.
Can I change it back to normal ( SATA shoul'd be mount with sd* ) ?

I use a own kernel , but sata stuff and dma stuff are inbuilded. I use intel ICH7 SATA.
