CAC issue in Chromium due to ERR_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_NO_COMMON_ALGORITHM

I see failures to load some websites in Chromium that firefox loads without issue. The error is:

ERR_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_NO_COMMON_ALGORITHM

I followed the guide here:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Common_Access_Card

and that got firefox working with my CAC.

Chromium asks for my pin when attempting to use the CAC so it is talking to it. I have all the same certs installed in Chromium as I have in firefox. I am unable to find any setting in Chromium that allows configuring which versions of TLS are allowed. I even built microsoft edge from AUR to see if they allow configuring different tls options but I see the same thing there.

I need Chromium because firefox doesn't support TEAMS meetings in the browser.
