Balena-etcher error loading an iso

I select the iso and then I get this error:
Error opening source
Something went wrong while opening /xxxxx/xxxxx/xxxxx.iso      (Doesn't matter which iso all of them fail)
Error: requestMetadata is not a function

I have failed to find anyone else with this issue.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled doesn't seem to fix anything.

If I can't fix this is there any other .iso to usb apps to use.
I know I can use dd but if that is only one I will.

Literally hundreds of tools https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/USB_fl … _GNU/Linux and balena etcher is basically the absolute worst of them because it farms your data and makes weird connections to balenas server.
