That's not a take on vortex math but something that just happened.
Does your DE not allow to fill out the background?
(I tend to pay some attention that, while drawing on a 16:10 canvas, the wallpapers still work on 16:9 an 4:3

Does your DE not allow to fill out the background?

Sure, but in this case I don't mind (more dark areas EDIT: Otherwise the dark arch would "grow" visually - but still..)
