MacBook Air A1466, mid-2013. Integrated FaceTimeHD webcam works beautifully on Zoom and Firefox (webcamtests.com) but can't be opened in Cheese ('stream error: can't negotiate buffers on port...') and VLC ('invalid PCR value in ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR'). The camera firmware seems to be set up correctly, output of 'v4l2-ctl --list-devices' is 'Apple Facetime HD (PCI:0000:02:00.0): /dev/video0' I am a member of group 'video' as well. Any ideas why Cheese and VLC can't access the camera? Thanks.
