[SOLVED] VirtualBox: Hanging at Plymouth process

Hi, I just built a new VM on Oracle's Virtualbox with Arch.

I'm having an issue where after leaving grub and going into the boot process, the system hangs. The last line that I'm looking at:

Starting Terminate Plymouth Boot Screen

I have to TTY and start X11 from there.

Any ideas how to fix this to get it functioning normally?

EDIT: disabling sddm.service stops this behavior, but I recall having this process enabled and having plymouth as well in the past.

EDIT: I believe this occurs due to mismanaging whatever is using the hypervisor's graphics processor. Solved by removing improper video drivers.
