Want to install arch to a computer with blank nvme and a few hdds. Have disabled secure boot and fast boot
Relevant Specs:
- z790 msi motherboard with latest bios
- intel cpu
- nvidia gpu
When booting from a live usb and choosing the first option in grub, i get this error:
error: verification requested but nobody cares: /arch/boot/x86_64/vmlinuz-linux
error: you need to load the kernel first
Searching brought me to this:
Arch Linux Forum Post
which doesnt relate to my problem as i have just booted from a usb.
Selecting UEFI Shell gives me this error:
error: verification requested but nobody cares: /shellx64.efi

i have already disabled secure boot. Wrote it in the first two sentences.
Did you suggest me to try installing an iso that can secureboot??

Check again whether secureboot is really (still) disabled, because that is what kicks in here.
Otherwise the post you linked becomes very relevant and you'll have to manipulate the grub efi.
The iso is https://archlinux.org/download/ - not https://archboot.com/ ?

Thx for the double check! Motherboard bios update has relocated secure boot option so i may have been toggling somthing else.
