gparted under wayland cannot resize

I have read the wiki and have ensured that xorg-xhost is installed. gparted will open up. I can launch it from the applications menu and from a terminal (sudo gparted). When I do so, I cannot resize a partition. If I logout then login under xorg instead of wayland, gparted works as expected.

Up to date Arch running linux-lts kernel with a gnome desktop.

How do I fix this?

Re: gparted under wayland cannot resize

This is the only program that I have run into problems with under wayland. gparted *will not work* as is under wayland. Even with xorg-xhost installed. You have to log out of wayland and back in under X11 to get it to work.
I'd love to be proven wrong or directed as to what I am doing wrong.
