Hi,
I am using "XFCE4" on my Dell Latitude 3430 laptop. I have two questions related to LAN and WiFi icon on my try bar . The LAN is on DHCP and to use internet I just huck-up my LAN cable into my laptop LAN port.By using firfox browser my internet works fine.
The thing which I want to see that there is no network icon when I use my LAN cable .Normally there are two tiny monitors shows that LAN is connected or not. How may I see the icon of LAN which it is connected ?
2-My laptop shows that wifi is enable but i can't see any applet from which I can select my SSID and connect to WiFi.
If I use command the following commands
[root@testpc ~]# nmcli connection
NAME UUID TYPE DEVICE
Wired connection 1 c2a4-e56-34y6-u8y6-2e4-3fd66607 ethernet eno1
lo 250av55c-b6x7-5bbn-xyz87-90pp67ee4v1q5 loopback lo
[root@testpc ~]# nmcli device
DEVICE TYPE STATE CONNECTION
eno1 ethernet connected Wired connection 1
lo loopback connected (externally) lo
wlp2s0 wifi disconnected --
[root@testpc ~]# nmcli device wifi list

There's network-manager-applet: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … er-applet/ for a standalone applet implementation
