Help debugging a randomly unresponsive trackpad

Hi all,
I run Arch (Gnome DE) on a Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 14APH8 with the following specs:

http://sprunge.us/na4apF

and the relevant devices as per libinput:

http://sprunge.us/DKLAF5

At times, the touchpad randomly stops working and I can confirm by opening a terminal and when this happens, I open and terminal and confirm there are in fact no touchpad events being sent to libinput. A "solution" has been to put the laptop to sleep and reopening it, or other less reliable (and potentially "placebo") methods seem to be using a different finger or not resting my palm on the laptop. This happens on both Wayland and X11.

If I try to run `libinput analyze recording`, I get a `ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'libevdev'`, even though I can confirm that `libevdev` is in fact installed.

I do not know how to tell whether this is some driver or software problem or if the touchpad's hardware is faulty.

Any tips on debugging this, please? Thanks!
