graphical glitches after updating to kde 6 Wayland [SOLVED]

I'm aware that wayland is not perfect and things like this should be expected but still I doubt kde would ship this with wayland as default with said glitches lol

plus I haven't seen anyone doing reviews of kde6 mentioning the glitches and screen tearing I'm having while just being idle in desktop so I'm guessing it is something in my system

I've done those steps before and they are still enable

I don't have a black screen and my sesion isnt slow at all, just the screen flickers every now and then.

maybe the installation packages? I did yes to everything but the breeze5 package, but even then after upgrading I ran Syyu and it downloaded the new breeze package

The kernel command line in the log you posted disagrees.

 sudo cat /sys/module/nvidia_drm/parameters/modeset

shows Y so mode=1 is enabled and I added the line again to /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf
just in case, still im having glitches on my windows.

should I try using fbdev=1 as well?

Is the simpledrm device gone?
Your journal btw. doesn't cover a wayland session, please post a relevant one and ideally link a screenshot or photo to illustrate the "glitches" to get everyone an idea what you're seeing.

Edit: fbdev is hit and miss.
550xx should™ be good w/ nvidia_drm.fbdev=1 but there's a (single) claim that an explicit nvidia_drm.fbdev=0 was beneficial.

I've updated the journal, idk what was wrong maybe cause i was running the command while in x11, I've run everything again in a Wayland sesion now

The game flickers, some elements (the chat, I guess, on the left) disappear for a single frame.
Or is this actually the flatschpak discord?

Edit: do you get it with an xterm (xterm because xwayland "I tried alacritty" won't cut it)

yeah that's what I was thinking, something to do with flatpaks and apps installed from AUR, like my browser "chrome"
