Everything works here so far, after the Plasma 6 update,
except for kate, and it seems to be related to syntax highlighting.
Opening a simple html file, syntax highlighting doesn’t work,
and when I go to Tools > Highlighting > Markup (or Scripts), there’s no option for HTML
When I scroll down the text, kate suddenly closes.
syntax-highlighting is installed, and
pacman -Ql syntax-highlighting
shows me the configuration files for it to work are there:
/usr/share/org.kde.syntax-highlighting/syntax-bundled/html.xml
but it seems kate isn’t findind them.
Don’t know if it’s a compilation issue, or maybe a symlink somewhere would solve the problem.
Did anyone elso notice this?
[UPDATE]
Installed syntax-highlighting-git, and this partially solved the problem:
1. kate doesn’t crash
2. going to Tools > Highlighting > Markup, HTML (and a bunch of other options) is there again
But syntax-highlighting doesn’t work still, at least not automatically;
I have to manually choose the Highlighting in Tools menu, then it works.
Some progress, at least.
Trying to recompile kate now, let’s see how it goes.
[UPDATE 2]
Nope, recompiling kate did nothing.
Also tried to clean .local/share/kate and .config/kate
