XFCE + knetstats

I'm using Arch Linux with XFCE 4.4 installed. Also I want to use some kde applications like knetstats (KDE network connections monitor).

But there is some troubles with it. Starting knetstats it does not appear at tray (as it should be) but keeps working like separate window neutral

I tried to enable a special XFCE session option, which starts KDE / GNOME services on XFCE startup. But this does not solve trouble: DCOP server is running, KDED (which must load necessary KDE services) running, but there is no KDED services started.

To work with system tray kdetrayproxy module must be started by KDED. When I run KDE or start this module manually from KDE Control Center pages, it work perfectly and knetstats application appears minimized to tray.

Then, I've tried the next solution. I've got KDE Control Center sources and have created a special utility which starts KDED modules passed though command line parameters (for me it is "kdetrayproxy" only). I have put this utility to XFCE autostart list. Now I'm happy with working knetstats application cool

But, is there any other way to get KDE applications working properly with tray in non-KDE desktop environment? hmm
