High CPU usage on screen locking with plasma 6

Hi all!.

I noticed that after upgrading to plasma 6, whenever I lock the screen, I can hear the laptop fans spinning at 100%, just after unlocking the screen I can see the CPU temperature decreasing, then it normalizes and fans stop spinning. Any idea how to debug this?

Thanks in advance!

Me too, and the same thing once I get to the desktop. There are some problems with plasmashell and kwin_wayland.

Re: High CPU usage on screen locking with plasma 6

Not sure if this is related, but in my multi-monitor setup w/ Plasma 6 and Wayland kscreenlocker_greet has a good chance of freezing. The laptop can then only be unlocked from a tty using

kill -9 $(pidof kscreenlocker_greet)
loginctl unlock-session 2

Related bug report on KDE bug tracker.

According to current information, it is related with KWin?

I have the same issue. Unfortunately, I have been searching for a solution but without success.
