The lastest build of gaim is not supporting smilies. All i get is a white rectangle with 2 lines across from one corner to other instead of smilies. Are other guys geting the same? In that case, it might be a bug.

I'm getting the same in the latest gaim-svn (18121-1) - non-critical for me, but glad to know it's not only an issue here.

I've got the same thing with gaim-svn... not much to do but wait for an update (or build it yourself).
On a related note, does anybody know why the regular gaim package is three betas behind?

Actually, it seems that sound, at least for me, is also broken in gaim-svn.
It won't remember the command I put into the box.

i have no problems with the latest build, that is 18178. You'll have to compile it yourself, but just changing the build number in the PKGBUILD and making the package again fixes everything for me.

I'm glad somebody find the latest one to be working. I find the 18121-1 doesn't remember to run the plug-ins as well. I hope someone's nice enough to put the 18178 build up in the repo
.
edit: Welp, 2.0.0 beta 6 just came out. I wonder how it's different from the SVN builds...

I modified the PKGBUILD for gaim beta3 to use beta6 and it works fine for me. Seems similar to the SVN builds, but everything actually works.
Heh sorry I just noticed that beta6 is in the repos anyway now...

I'm reverting to 1.5 series until the 2.0 code is more refined This thing has too many unresolved issues.

iBertus, the betas are generally stable; it is the SVN builds that are trouble-prone. If you haven't already, try 2.0b6 instead of gaim-svn.
The 1.5 series isn't in the repo anymore anyway.
