[SOLVED]Stuttering audio on DAC

Good morning everyone,

I would like to use Arch Linux on my GPD Pocket 3, but I have a problem with my Teac UD 503 with the audio stuttering, both when using programs like Clementine/Strawberry, and when watching a simple video on Youtube. The problem is not the power of the processor (an excellent i7 quad core) which can easily manage this DAC, as my old Pocket 2 also managed it, which was much less powerful.
The problem also occurred on Windows, but I solved it by enabling the "high performance" option from the control panel. On Linux the only thing I was able to do was enable the cpu governor on performance via cpu power, but that didn't work.
My guess is that the data is passing too slowly from the computer to the DAC, due to some power saving setting. If the problem could be solved, I would be happy to use Linux on this machine too, even though some things (which I can do without) don't work.
I would like to point out that the problem occurs with the DAC connected via USB, but is absent on the PC's integrated sound card.

Please don't open new threads on the same underlying issue. What about my/the general suggestion given in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=292771 does not work?

Hi V1del,
no, maybe I explained myself poorly in English. The problem here is different. On my notebook I solved the audio not working problem by uninstalling wireplumber and using pipewire-media-session (don't ask me why, but it works). On my Acer Nitro notebook I listen to audio without problems (and without stuttering) via pulseaudio.
On the GPD Pocket 3, after doing the same procedure, the audio stutters, even on Youtube. The problem is different because it also occurs on Windows 11, at least until I enable the high performance option in the control panel. I hypothesize that it is an energy saving problem, which however has nothing to do with the processor. I tried disabling ACPI in /etc/default/grub, but the PC won't boot. I'm trying to understand how to get maximum performance from this pocket pc, hoping to solve the problem.
What I understand is that Gnu Linux doesn't like my dac very much, but I have no plans to change it.

Re: [SOLVED]Stuttering audio on DAC

I solved the crackling audio problem by installing tlpui (the gui of tlp)
As I had guessed, the problem was the energy saving setting of the USB port to which the DAC is connected. There is an option within the program that allows you to disable energy saving.
