Problems with bith depth of video file

When playing video file downloaded from internet I get this message from mpv:

[vo/gpu] High bit depth FBOs unsupported. Enabling dumb mode.
[vo/gpu] Most extended features will be disabled.

I suppose I have to re-encode the video file to change the bit depth of the video,  to have extended features enabled. How to change the bit depth of the video file with ffmpeg? The codec I want to use is h264.
