Resume sometimes fails after hibernate

Hello,

I have an Asus laptop with a strange issue where it randomly fails to resume after hibernation to swap.
I still use suspend-sedation.service (https://wiki.debian.org/SystemdSuspendSedation) because I'm on Gnome and it overrides the systemd-sleep parameters.

Here is the full journalctl for the suspend --> hibernate --> failed resume.
The most interresting information I guess is "Hibernate inconsistent memory map detected!".

I can't find a pattern where it would systematically fail, for now it looks total random to me.

Most of the time I just leave the laptop on and unplugged, it then goes to suspend with rtcwake set to +180 minutes, the wake will trigger the hibernation (normal suspend-sedation.service behavior), then I just turn it on again without plugging/unplugging any device.

Any idea what may cause this ?

I might need to add that I don't have any multi-boot installed, just Arch is running on this computer.
The bootloader is grub, and here is the linux startline:

I'll try to disable the VMD setting at the next failed resume and see if it stops to fail at resuming.

I also removed the "resume=" flag from the kernel startup so it's not related.

I'm out of ideas.

May an application be causing the issue, like if it's still "moving" while the system is frozen to swap ?
Most of the time I just have chromium openned.

I also removed the "resume=" flag from the kernel startup so it's not related.

w/o that you rely on systemd's autodetection which shows up in a bunch of threads where it tries to resume non-hibernating systems from made-up partitions… return that value.

The hardware "changes" during the hibernation, do you have/use a dock or attach/remove/add other things *during* the hibernation (even if you later re-add them)?

Nope, no dock, no external drive (most of the times).
When this happens usually I just leave the computer there, that goes for sleep and I come back the day after to turn it back on without plugging/unplugging any device or even AC cord.

I'll check on this "iommu=soft" flag.
I also increased "/sys/power/image_size" (using tmpfiles.d)

Apart from the dock/hardware change, which isn't my case, I saw other cases with corrupted filesystems.

So I booted on the installation media, and ran several commands to check my root partition, everything seemed allright, well not exactly, when running the check on the "online" partition (fsck.ext4 -vfn /dev/nvme0n1p3), it found inode inconsistency that it was not able to fix (online), but it did not find these same issue while running the same command from the install media...

I also recreated the swap partition while checking the blocks using the same UUID (mkswap -cU 7f69efcc-bf4b-456b-ba77-cdf2673c9257 /dev/nvme0n1p2) so that I don't have to update the fstab.

Since then I tried to manually hibernate with several applications oppened, it did resume fine, the issue happened a lot recently, but I'm not quite confident the issue is fixed durably, I'll update here in a couple of days to tell how it evolves.

So after trying everything here, I still had random failed resume.
So I decided to reinstall my full system, I actually installed it with LVM on LUKS encryption, everything (/ containing /boot and /home, swap) is encrypted except the bootloader (grub).

I reinstalled the same set of applications, and resume works very fine so far (almost two weeks).
I believe my issue was filesystem related. fsck.ext4 showed me these orphans inode errors (I did not note the exact message sorry) while online, that were not detected (nor fixed) while offline... I could have digged this, but I prefered to give it a clean state.
