Troubles with installing packages with pacman/from arch package repo

Sometimes when I'm installing packages with pacman from the official repo, the packages don't seem to get installed, the progress bar doesn't seem to move. Why does this happen? A few packages that have turned up this issue are neovim, neovim-qt, and redis.

Can you paste the output you get after running

 $ sudo pacman -S neovim 

?
