kio-extras missing nfs support

Since the upgrade to plasma 6 I've not been able to access my nfs share via dolphin using the nfs:// protocol method. I quick look at the kio5-extras and kio-extras packages and nfs is missing from the latter, as well as libtirpc missing from the dependency list. Before I post this as a bug report is anyone else seeing the same issues, not being able to access nfs shares directly from dolphin?

I've tried to build kio-extras from source.
I can see from the build log:

CMake Warning (dev) at nfs/CMakeLists.txt:1 (message):
  kio_nfs: BUILD DISABLED.  Port to KIO::WorkerBase.
This warning is for project developers.  Use -Wno-dev to suppress it.

I'm not sure if I have collected everything but it seems kio_nfs needs some complex porting and since there was no one to do it they have disabled it to check if it was actually used.

Then I have found this https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483237 that confirmed my assumption.
