Hi all:
See title - I'm trying to use the current version of spectacle on an up-to-date Arch system with KDE Plasma 6.0.2 on Wayland, and I get the error:
Remember requesting the interface on your desktop file: X-KDE-Wayland-Interfaces=zkde_screencast_unstable_v1
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Spectacle has always been a bit of a pain to use for me since I sandbox it with Firejail, but I've commented out spectacle in firecfg.config and ran firecfg --clean, and nothing changes. Usually with Firejail I have to delete the .desktop file in .local/share/applications before it wants to start, but I recall since Plasma 6 it hasn't been able to start at all. Outside of the known Firejail issues it ran fine on Plasma 5 Wayland.
When I delete the .desktop file, if there is one, and restart spectacle through my Applications bar in the "start menu" at the bottom-left of Plasma it crashes with Plasma telling me "remote peer disconnected."
Anyone know why this might be?
Thanks!

In my case switching back to X11 session solved issue with spectactle (it was also segfaulting).
In my case plasma + wayland + nvidia

Spectacle crashes in NVIDIA driver code on startup after upgrading to Plasma 6
Delete libva-vdpau-driver and replace with libva-nvidia-driver.
