[SOLVED] Blinking cursor after setting LUKS on root partition

I'm trying to set a LUKS partition as described in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/dm-cry … _partition for a BTRFS partition, and I use BIOS/Legacy GRUB implemented in the root partition itself. I use msdos partition table.

cryptsetup luksFormat /dev/sda1
cryptsetup open /dev/sda1 auto1
mkfs.btrfs /dev/mapper/auto1
mount /dev/mapper/auto1 /mnt

mkfs.btrfs -f /dev/mapper/auto1

Here what I didn't run was "mount --mkdir /dev/sda1 /mnt/boot" command.

Then I edited the HOOKS of mkinitcpio.conf as:

where "97b4a58f-90de-416b-a914-d73215f93fd7" is the UUID of /dev/sda1.

When I reboot, I get only a blinking cursor.

* After editing mkinitcpio.conf, did you also generate initramfs (mkinitcpio -p linux)?
* Better remove the quiet flag and boot again to see any messages during boot.
