[SOLVED] Failed to get GDM after upgrading to GNOME 46

I am using an Arch environment as VM in VirtualBox with linux-lts kernel.

After the upgrade to GNOME 46, at reboot my system does not access to GDM anymore. I get only a blinking cursor.

journalctl -b : http://0x0.st/Xz8C.txt
/var/lib/gdm/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log : https://termbin.com/z5ac

I tried by both 3D acceleration enabled and disabled.

"pacman -Qikk gjs"

That's not gnome, but vmware

Mar 30 09:32:25 athenaos /usr/lib/gdm-x-session[475]: (EE) vmware(0): Failed to open drm.

No idea why that's installed/used itfp, but your problems start w/

Mar 30 09:31:46 athenaos modprobe[367]: modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'vboxvideo': No such device

Edit: isn't vboxvideo long gone anyway?
But there's also

Mar 30 09:31:46 athenaos VBoxService[384]: 08:31:46.762556 main VBoxDRMClient: Error: unable to find DRM device

And you're booting w/ "nomodeset "…

Re: [SOLVED] Failed to get GDM after upgrading to GNOME 46

The issue was the "nomodeset" that I set before after the last system upgrade nothing worked, and I needed to remove linux kernel to install linux-lts but I forgot to remove "nomodeset".

Now everything is working. Thank you.
