mkinitcpio - fails after 'make localmodconfig'

mkinitcpio 38.1-1
I have tested it on various 6.8.x kernels (stable or Arch).
The after 'make oldconfig' procedure works.
I never had this problem before.
I have compilation and  modules generation logs and they show no errors.
The latest stable kernel test, for example
# mkinitcpio -v -k 6.8.3 -g /boot/initramfs-6.8.3.img 2>&1 | tee mkinitcpio.log
...
==> Creating zstd-compressed initcpio image: '/boot/initramfs-6.8.3.img'
==> WARNING: errors were encountered during the build. The image may not be complete.
#
shows error-free execution, except for last line WARNING.
