no audio after reboot

I rebooted my system without making any changes that I can think of and now the sound isn't working.

I am unsure how to check what package I'm using for sound, pulse, pipe or whatever.

I would like to research at least initially how to fix issues with the sound setup but in order to do so I need to know what I'm searching for.  How can I know what is running or supposed to be running my sound?

I thought I had chosen pulseaduio but when I run this as per the arch setup / support docs I get the below results.

alsamixer -c 0
bash: alsamixer: command not found
pulseaudio -v
bash: pulseaudio: command not found

And yes a sudo -Syu was done.

Interestingly my usb headphones do work.

Re: no audio after reboot

Also weird is the audio works if I have my other monitor connected.

I'm very confused...
