[SOLVED] zram-swap Single vs. multiple blocks

Hi,

In all machines I use multiple zram block devices.
For no particular reason to be honest, it was like that described in some older wiki version.

Everything works fine for years, no issues.

But I wonder if it makes any sense to use multiple vs. single block.

Search has proven no solid conclusion.

I would appreciate some feedback and possibly pointers.

Tia

Re: [SOLVED] zram-swap Single vs. multiple blocks

From what I've read, multiple zram devices were suggested in past because zram wasn't multi-threaded then. Now that zram uses multiple compression streams (see the STREAMS column in zramctl output), it makes no sense to use multiple zram devices for swap.
