[SOLVED] krecorder without KDE?

I was running krecorder on Sway just fine until March.

Now I am getting:

QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component
qrc:/main.qml: module "org.kde.desktop" is not installed

KDE is over 1GB worth of packages to install that I don't need otherwise. Is there any hack I could apply to fool the program that KDE is installed?

This feels more about the theme, what Qt5 theme were you using and what Qt6 theme do you intend to use? Are you using qt5ct and is qt6ct installed in the logical extension?

I was not using any. I have just installed the breeze package (theme) which also installed several KDE dependencies (although nowhere near full size of plasma-meta) and I have just installed qt5ct and qt6ct, but the problem still remains.

I have also tried to run with these environment variables: QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME="kde" XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP="KDE" krecorder (also tried "breeze" as theme) - no luck.

Update:

I have installed plasma-desktop, which added about 400MB - that's acceptable. It does work now and unlike the previous time, now I also have icons Thanks.
