Bluetooth randomly becomes unresponsive whenever it is left idle

I am running the latest release version of the kernel (6.8.4-arch1-1) and am still experiencing this same problem. This typically happens when I leave bluetooth on idle for 30min to an hour or so. My headphones seem to reconnect but the gui doesn't update to display that. When I attempted to restart bluetoothd, the terminal hangs and bluetoothd consumes a ton of cpu so I just end up rebooting my entire system. These are the same set of issues I have experienced in the previous kernel versions that I thought should've been fixed in this version.

Re: Bluetooth randomly becomes unresponsive whenever it is left idle

Was the patch not applied to the latest kernel release?

Re: Bluetooth randomly becomes unresponsive whenever it is left idle

A different one that fixed the "visual" (whether bluetooth handling utilities showed BT as connected or not) bug. If you have the null pointer issue then you still need this patch.

Edit: Or I might've misread. if you still have the issue even with that patch, post

sudo journalctl -b

because you might not face neither of these issues, discussed in the other thread.

I have still experienced the "visual" bug where the device is connected but it doesn't visually display that on the kernel release. I don't know if it's because it is caused by an entirely different issue that hasn't been addressed.

Re: Bluetooth randomly becomes unresponsive whenever it is left idle

That's a single pager page and not really useful, post the link you get from

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st

FWIW if that version is anything to go by you're also not yet running said patched kernel. But might still be useful to generally check the cause.

Apologies, here is the link with the full dump
