Sorry if this is redundant!
I know there are a lot of issues with discord screen sharing on arch but I have not seen any other threads discussing a problem quite like what I am experiencing.
I know screen audio is not going to work without an unofficial client, and that is okay.
I was using the discord-screenaudio package from the AUR for a while but kept encountering audio quality issues, so I switched back to the official package.
I did not install the flatpak. I just ran
pacman -S discord
Now what is happening is:
I will go to share my screen and get a pop-up asking what screen / window I want to share. When I make a selection the window will close and immediately pop back up.
This will continue ad nauseam and never actually share the screen.
I am running wayland / KDE Plasma
I had this working well (minus screen audio) about a month ago. I am not sure what changed.

Sorry for the late update!
This issue sort of resolved itself.
I started encountering more serious issues with the discord app where it was failing to launch entirely.
I tried reinstalling the app and that did not resolve the issue.
I switched back to the discord-screenaudio package and now everything seems to be working.
Even the audio issues I was having before are gone.

Discord from flatpak is also having issues while sharing screen. I will try the official package, thanks!
