I have a Kyocera MA2001W printer on which I cannot scan. I installed kyocera-universal drivers (printing goes fine on it) and kyocera-sane driver which does not work.
The error shows up as :
1. the computer does not see the scanner at all
so scanimage -L and sane-find-scanner finds nothing
2. or when the computer sees the scanner the printer freezes when scanning and xsane says "document feeder out of paper" (I don't have a feeder on the scanner).
The printer writes eror C05 and then C90 (i don't know what it is) and is completely unusable and needs to be unplugged and plugged into electricity.
Please help me to debug it.
