[SOLVED] keyboard shortcuts ignore desktop entry in home

ENV
KDE Plasma 5/6

PROBLEM
e.g.
~/.local/share/applications/org.kde.dolphin.desktop

...
Exec=env LC_COLLATE="zh_CN.UTF-8" dolphin %u
...

The modified line above is for sorting for Chinese.
When launch dolphin by application launcher (i.e. click the dolphin icon), it take effect.
But when launch dolphin by keyboard shortcuts (i.e. meta+E), it doesn't take effect.
-----------------------------
UPDATE
If modify /usr/share/applications/org.kde.dolphin.desktop accordingly, after reboot, keyboard shortcuts respects the modification and work as expected.

Re: [SOLVED] keyboard shortcuts ignore desktop entry in home

You just need to recreate your keyboard shortcut so it picks up the local desktop file instead of the global one, the global file will get overwritten by dolphin updates.
