Update to qt6-webengine 6.7.0-1 makes webpages laggy

I use qutebrowser which is based on qt6-webengine. Yesterday, I've updated packages on two machines (X11/i3wm desktop and Wayland/sway laptop), and on both the browser's behavior became glitchy. The scrolling of all pages is laggy, all videos are jerky. I downgraded the single package - qt6-webengine - to previous version 6.6.3-1, and the browser is smooth again. I don't report to qutebrowser, because updating/downgrading the browser itself had no effect, the problem seems to be namely with the latest version of qt-webengine. Can anyone please at least confirm the same issue?

Confirm the same issue here, scrolling pages and all videos laggy. Downgraded qt6-webengine from 6.7.0-1 to 6.6.3-1 and qutebrowser again smooth as usual ..

No problem in other browsers btw

Re: Update to qt6-webengine 6.7.0-1 makes webpages laggy

Is the "no problem in other  browsers" comment referring to any other qt6-webengine browsers?  I have no issues with the updated qt6-webengine, but I don't use qutebrowser.

EDIT: but I am on wayland.  The issues described sound similar to problems I've had for ages with any qt webengine browser on X11.  Do you run a compositor?

EDIT 2: I just installed qutebrowser to test and that's also working fine here.

Thanks, freek and Trilby, for feedback.

As I wrote in my initial post, I have two machines, one with Wayland (sway) and another one with X11 (also picom). The problem with the latest qt6-webengine is the same on both.

So no problems with videos and scrolling is smooth? Can you confirm you have version 6.7.0-1 of qt6-webengine?

Yes.  No issues.  Confirmed on two systems here.

If relevant (I suspect it is) I am on intel graphics hardware on both machines. (edit: okay, nevermind then)

No issues here (albeit with qutebrowser-git, version 3.1.0.r97.g3d86d7876-1, built March 28th), on AMD graphics hardware and Plasma 6 wayland session.

EDIT: also can't reproduce with qutebrowser-3.1.0 from [extra].
