I turned off the PC with Gimp open, and now every time I turn it on, it starts automatically.
I can try to reinstall it, but I would like to understand why and how it is possible.
This feature may be useful in the future.
Thanks

What's your graphical environment? Most of them have a session restore feature where they will reopen programs you had closed.

It's likely a feature of your DE. Look up info about restoring a session.

What desktop environment are you using? If you're using KDE Plasma, check Autostart and Session in system settings, there is an option for saving session which auto launches apps you last had open, either automatically based on last login or from a manual save.

Thanks, but after the system update Gimp didn't start anymore, but I'll check the system settings to understand better.
