For context I'm running KDE plasma with Xorg, and I have the latest nvidia drivers for my RTX 2060. My monitor is set to 165hz
The issue I'm having is a mix of 2 things, some windows that have "overlayed" textures (eg. Steams menu that sits over a background) seem to flicker on and off really fast, the textures from behind the menu will be gk over top of the menu back and forth dozens of times a second when moving my mouse. Turing off vsync in KDE's display settings seemed to have solved this as far as I can tell.
The other issue relating to this involves rendering in games. When playing minecraft, the window flickers on and off in the same way. Notably turning down the render distance, lowering the graphics down to fast, and turning off smooth light seemed to make this issue dissappear until I look at particles, mobs, or dropped items, where the games becomes almost unplayable until I look away
This issue is probably more related to xorg or KDE, but I've seen people having similar issues with gnome and Wayland
I'm very new to arch linux obviously so I'm not entirely sure what logs to post, or necessarily what to check. I knew nvidia would end up being a thorn in my side, but I didn't expect it to happen this quickly. Any help is appreciated!

How sure are you you are on xorg? The mentioned symptoms sound very much like nvidia and xwayland issues, did you make sure to select the xorg session in your login screen explicitly? In any case maybe post
