Upgrade to ffmpeg fails vlc again

Am I right in assuming I have to run abs...

Then pkgbuild ffmpeg.(/var/abs/extra/multimedia/ffmpeg)

Then rebuild vlc.....

Or can it be done with ffmpeg alone?

I tried just ffmpeg and it didn't work. I had to rebuild both.
