I have a NVIDIA GT630 that runs at full fan speed in its undrivered state. Installing NVIDIA drivers fixes that but forces my monitor to display only in the center of a 4" margin in the center of my screen at 800x600 resolution. Installing nouveau fixes the display and gives some monitoring capabilities but the fan is always at 100%
