Until recently everything works. I guess the latest upgrades broke something.
Normally there are more soundcards listed, now it lists only the headset (which does work), and the laptop speakers, which can be selected but no sound is audible. The OS, however, seems to think it is properly working.
Downgrading sof-firmware didn't help alone, will test later also downgrading the the pipewire libs.
Dmesg is not showing much interesting

Anyone an Idea what is broken? Any other interesting logs?
Edit: after downgrade of linux and linux-firmware the missing devices appear again and sounds starts working again.

Edit 2: linux-firmware is not the fault, but linux-6.9.1 breaks the audio.

I just experienced the same problem since linux-6.9.1: all the usual audio outputs are listed but no sound from the built-in speakers. Adding that Wayland support seems broken because of the proprietary Nvidia driver.
So far I haven't found any logs that would help understand the origin of the problem.

Same here, no sound after upgrading to linux-6.9.1.
Reverting to 6.8.9, everything works again.

Same problem here. Booting to the LTS kernel did not solve the problem :-/

Interestingly, after connecting my bluetooth headset once, the builtin audio now is detected again and everything now seems to work as it should.

I didn't write this, but I thought you post full log output of command 'sudo journalctl -b'. So post it from good working kernel and from bad.
BTW how about newest 6.9.2 and 6.6.32 lts kernels?

Just upgraded to 6.9.2.
All working again now.

can confirm 6.9.2 fixed it
