Plymouth does not have a smooth transition to GDM

According to the wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Plymou … transition
"GDM supports smooth transition out of the box."

The boot animation works fine. But for some reason when it is ready to load GDM then the animation freezes until the login screen shows.

Plymouth version: 24.004.60-7
GDM version: 46.0-1

I don't really know if there is any other relevant information I need to share.
