Now this is a slightly different problem with virtual machines under VirtualBox. Under Linux 6.9.1-2
resolutions that were available with 6.8.9 seem to have disappeared... specifically 2560X1440...
but if I simply boot under the current LTS kernel, 2560X1440 is still there.
Any ideas what might have happened?
This was pretty much a straight update as of today that produced this result.
BTW, this is a 3440X1440 display and that resolution simply does not exist
on any of my Linux virtual machine systems under Virtualbox, and yet a Windows 10 install ( no expletives please
)
under VB has no problem going to 3440X1440. So it can't be my VirtualBox setup or the on H/W Arch system
supporting all this which seem to do just fine at 3440X1440.
Update: I downgraded the kernel and got this problem on all 6.9xxx kernels. Only when I hit 6.8.9 did the
problem go away ( i could get 2560X1440 ). But then again, 3440x1440 has not appeared. Also, as an aside,
I also have Debian VMs (12.5) and they perform as Arch does... they don't show a 3440x1440 option...
