Good morning, this morning my conky script shows 2 updates but after repeated attempts to install something I realise it is the checkupdates script reporting there is something when there is in fact not. Can anyone else confirm this please?
$ checkupdates
cups 1:2.4.8-1 -> 2:2.4.8-1
libcups 1:2.4.8-1 -> 2:2.4.8-1
$ pacman -Qu
$
Thank you.
Well a short time later and the updates have appeared and updated. Must be a delay in where they are sourcing the packages.

pacman -Qi cups libcups
"pacman -Qu" will operate on the local database, if you didn't sync that (-Sy, provoking partial updates) it won't tell you that there're new versions in the repos.
That's why there's checkupdates.
Edit: F5…

I did pacman -Syu as usual but there was nothing, I even updated the mirrors as well and still nothing. No issue, I am just impatient :-(
