Slightly delayed mouse when working on high res

I recently got a 43'' screen and connected it to my laptop (Lenovo P53 with two graphic cards, Intel and Nvidia). I installed optimus manager and boot with optimus-manager.startup=nvidia

My laptop screen resolution is 1920x1080. If I set external screen resolution to 1920x1080 everything runs smoothly. When I try to use higher resolution (i.e. 3840x2160) I notice mouse gets a bit delayed. It's not huge delay but noticeable. I wonder if this is something I will have to live with because maybe my laptop is not fast enough, or maybe there is something I can do to remove that delay?
