Unstable network connection when activating ExpressVPN

Hello,

I have installed ExpressVPN and activated the subscription some months ago, since then I am encountering networking issues whenever I put ExpressVPN on. Mainly the symptoms are that after enabling the VPN, connectivity is all good, after some random amount of time I start getting disconnected:

1) Either I completely cannot ping anything (but I am still connected to the router and VPN is still showing itself ON)
2) Sometimes I only get disconnected on some apps (i.e. my browser cannot connect, but I can still ping from terminal or send messages through Slack!)

Once I disconnect the VPN and reconnect everything works well again. I am pretty sure this has to do with my network configs, however I have no idea how to approach this. I have read previous threads here related to this issue and tried basically everything suggested:

1) I had both dhcpcd and NetworkManager enabled, I disabled dhcpcd.
2) I have changed protocol used by ExpressVPN.

The problem still persists

Re: Unstable network connection when activating ExpressVPN

I also have this issue after a week of trying to troubleshoot I might just switch to a new vpn atp. Where you ever able to fix it?
