I have an issue with KDE Wayland. Whenever I close my laptop lid my external monitor is laggy. This doesn't happen when I choose the X11 session.
What I've noticed is that connecting my external monitor when using X11 my laptop automatically switches to the dedicated GPU.
Whenever I connect the external monitor when on Wayland my laptop doesn't switch to the external GPU. It's not laggy immediately after connecting but only after closing the lid. X11 doesn't have this issue as mentioned before.
I have an optimus laptop and I have set up all the necessary configs for Wayland and rootless X11 just as the Arch wiki described.
I've also set up the power saving config for my NVIDIA GPU so it shuts down when not in use (as described in the wiki) which works well.
So basically I'd want my laptop to switch to NVIDIA as soon as a HDMI cable is connected on Wayland.
