[SOLVED] VAAPI freezes system after upgrading mesa

Hey all, I had to roll back from a recent graphics update, I'm not sure which package is the problem, but this is what I installed:

[2024-06-03T15:33:02+1000] [ALPM] upgraded libva-mesa-driver (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:02+1000] [ALPM] upgraded lib32-libva-mesa-driver (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:03+1000] [ALPM] upgraded mesa (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:03+1000] [ALPM] upgraded lib32-mesa (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:03+1000] [ALPM] upgraded mesa-vdpau (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:03+1000] [ALPM] upgraded lib32-mesa-vdpau (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:03+1000] [ALPM] upgraded vulkan-radeon (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:03+1000] [ALPM] upgraded lib32-vulkan-radeon (1:24.0.8-1 -> 1:24.1.0-1)
[2024-06-03T15:33:03+1000] [ALPM] upgraded virglrenderer (1.0.1-1 -> 1.0.1-2)

I only noticed because I use ffmpeg to send my webcam to a couple virtual devices, heres the simplifed code:

ffmpeg -hwaccel vaapi -f v4l2 -framerate 60 -video_size 1920x1080 -input_format mjpeg -i /dev/video0 -pix_fmt yuv420p -f v4l2 /dev/video50 -pix_fmt yuv420p -f v4l2 /dev/video51

Tried without vaapi and it worked okay, but I need the hardware acceleration cause the full code includes filters and it nukes my CPU otherwise.  Just not sure where I should report this issue, any advice would be appreciated :-)

SYSTEM:
Hyprland
Linux 6.9.3
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
64GB RAM

UPDATE: Fixed.
