borelia is you card still supported by latest nvidia drivers?
and please do not play with video=vesa:off and frambuffers if you use nvidia binary drivers

So if your card is supported then what is the cure?

new kernel -3 i upload now has again disabled the additional fb modules, had here such strange issues with an old lappie, reverted back to only vesa support fixed this, hope it fixes your issues too.

same problem here.

using nvidia driver, btw.

20-3 still, can not load nvidia & virtualbox modules.

once what does happen when you try to load nvidia? do you run nvidia packages from testing?
do you have utils and module in sync?

Kernel26-  2.6.20-6 has the same problem as first kernels 2.6.20-1 and 2
