Re: Anyone here a Cedega user?

Hi.
I'm using Cedega 5.2.3 on Pentium D 915, 1GB RAM and GeForce 7600GS. Sometimes I play NFS: U2 and Starcraft (it works also on Wine). Performance is much lower than in Windows XP, but it's not a problem (I set lower details and it works perfectly).

Ah ok cool, I usually play games like Battlefield 2 and CounterStrike: Source. (First Person Shooters) I was wondering how bad the performance drop with those are. Im also thinking about getting a Pentium D since they are 64bit, dual core, and the price has dropped on them alot since the Core 2 Duos came out.

Re: Anyone here a Cedega user?

Depends on the game.

World of Warcraft nearly runs similar to windows (about 5 fps drop).
Some others games seem to have less performance, as CounterStrike before Source came out.

Ability is nothing without opportunity.

I believe you can run Counter-Strike Source via Wine.

Re: Anyone here a Cedega user?

Source games run with wine, but not at a practical speed; and I have a 7900GT.  It might be possible, though, in the coming months.  As for now, Condition Zero runs great.  I Play that all the time with wine.
